Saturday 16th May 2026 @ 4.45pm in FBD Semple Stadium
Tipperary vs Waterford
The countdown is well and truly on to Saturday’s Munster Senior Camogie Final, where Tipperary and Waterford go head-to-head at 4:45pm in FBD Semple Stadium as part of a blockbuster double-header alongside Tipperary’s clash with Clare in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship (Throw In @ 7pm).
There’s a growing edge to this rivalry in recent seasons, and all signs point to another fiercely competitive encounter. Waterford come into the game on the back of an impressive season to date, having reached the league final earlier this year, while Tipperary will take confidence from their victory over the Déise in the final round of the group stages.
Tipperary’s Munster Championship form has been particularly encouraging, recording two strong wins over Cork and Limerick to book their place in the decider. Waterford, meanwhile, showed their resilience with an extra-time victory over Clare before following up with a comfortable win against Kerry.
There’s no shortage of quality on either side. Waterford will look to captain Lorraine Bray to drive them from midfield, while Niamh Rocket and Beth Carton remain constant scoring threats in attack. For Tipperary, Karen Kennedy’s presence around the middle is vital, with Eimear McGrath and Caoimhe Stakelum leading the line up front and capable of making a decisive impact.
With silverware on the line and momentum at stake ahead of the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland championship season, both sides will be fully committed. A high-quality contest is expected, so let’s make home venue count and bring a huge support to Semple Stadium this Saturday.
