Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor A Championship

Cork vs Tipperary – Saturday 12th April @ 2pm – Cork County Camogie Grounds – Castle Roads

All roads lead to Cork this Saturday for the Electric Ireland Minor A Championship semi-final against Cork. After a dramatic and enthralling quarter final win where an injury point winner was needed to defeat Wexford excitement has been building for Saturday’s  semi-final. The sides already met this year in the opening group game which ended all square. Amazingly Ray Ralph’s side also drew way to Kilkenny before defeating Dublin at home to set up a home quarter final against Wexford. As group winners Cork secured a direct passage to the semi-final and also the advantage of a home victory. Tipperary will have no regrets with having had to play a quarter final as the manner of the win will surely stand to them. The team includes a number of players who were part of the 2024 All-Ireland winning side including joint captains Danielle Butler and Caoimhe Stakelum along with Leanna Coppinger and Elana McGrath. A number of players have also stepped up seamlessly from the county u16 team from last year including Ciara Cahill and Drom-Inch. Tipp have been improving with every game and Saturday’s semi-final should be a cracking contest as both teams strive for a place in this year’s All-Ireland Final.
