Last month Ballybacon Grange GAA and Camogie club started a fantastic new initiative in their club. Camogie Club PRO Niamh Carrigan reports on what has been a huge success for all involved.

'Together as a mighty club in Ballybacon Grange we have organised a fantastic programme each Saturday for kids with additional needs. “Hurling , Camogie and fun”

Our club saw the need for inclusion of all members in our community. This includes fun, laughter ,smiles , hurling , camogie , water play and lots more games but  most importantly making new friendships. We are now into our 4th Saturday and each Saturday just gets better and better. We have the most amazing children and families coming along. Each Saturday nobody wants to leave (including the adults ) and when we do, we all walk out that gate with the biggest smile on our faces and look forward to the next Saturday.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers especially all the younger volunteers who are fantastic.

We continue every Saturday in Goatenbridge. We are truly honoured to have such engagement in this programme. Thank you to all the children involved for making it so special for us all'.
