Tipperary 0-10  Kerry 3-11 Littlewoods National Camogie League Division 2 Round 3.

Saturday afternoon saw Tipperary face Kerry in their final group game. Tipperary and Kerry both needed the win in order to proceed to the quarter final stages.

Kerry got the dream start with a goal from corner forward Caoimhe Spillane. This goal gave the Kerry team the boost they needed and midfield Patrice Deegan put the ball straight over the black spot to announce their arrival in Drom and Inch’s GAA grounds.

Tipperary settled with great defence from Emma Carey and Gemma Fox. Mary Bourke’s energy and work rate set a pace for the Tipperary forward line and Claire Hogan caused hassle for the Kerry full back line for the duration of the game.

Kerrys second goal came after Tipperary keeper Aoife Butler misjudged a dropping ball from free taker Jackie Horgan. This goal came in the 18th minute as Tipp were starting to come back into the game.

Three minutes into the second half saw a third goal for Kerry. Tipperary made substitutes and allowed for an impressive performance for Leah Heffernan.

As the final whistle blew, the Kerry team screamed in delight as the newly promoted team confirmed their place in the quarterfinals.Unfortunately for Kerry, Galway secured the runner-up spot with a superior score difference. Full-time score in the Ragg was Kerry 3:10 Tipperary 0:11. Tipperary manager Cian Treacy now has time to regroup before championship.
